 JULIE BROWN SMITH | paintings & relief prints 

 

Julie Brown Smith's work is in over two hundred private, public and corporate collections around the world, including those of Eric Clapton, Graham Nash, and David Clemens. Five paintings from the Photobooth Series were included in Raynal Pellicer's new book, Photobooth: The Art of the Automatic Portrait published in the United States and in France by Abrams. The book includes a history of the Photobooth as well as photos of Anne Frank, John Lennon, and work by many famous artists.

Julie's paintings, linocuts, and photographs have appeared on album covers and in many independent and feature films and television series.  Her work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, most recently at California Center for the Arts Museum, Escondido; Brickbottom Gallery, Somerville, Massachusetts; Gordon College, Wenham, Massachusetts;  Pharmaka Gallery in Los Angeles; Harvard Musical Association in Boston; The Print Center, Philadelphia; and Naestved International Mini Print Exhibition, Rønnebæksholm Arts Center, Denmark.

Julie Brown Smith is represented by Carmel Art Association, Carmel, California, and Art Pic Gallery, North Hollywood, California. She is a member of The Boston Printmakers, and the Los Angeles Printmaking Society.
